Yoga for Women’s Health to Promote Holistic Well-being

The Women Development Cell (WDC), in association with the Department of Physical Education, Noble Women’s College, Manjeri, organized a special programme titled “Yoga for Women’s Health” on 23 June 2026 at 9:30 AM in the College Auditorium and Fitness Room. The two-hour yoga session was conducted with the objective of promoting women’s physical and mental well-being while creating awareness about the significance of yoga in everyday life.

The programme focused on the role of yoga in maintaining hormonal balance, reducing stress, improving energy levels, and enhancing overall health, especially in the context of women’s wellness.

The session began with a warm welcome address by Ms. Nahna K.K., WDC Coordinator and Assistant Professor, Department of English, who emphasized the importance of prioritizing women’s health and adopting healthy lifestyle practices for long-term well-being.

The workshop was led by Ms. Akhila K.P., Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Education, who conducted an engaging and practical training session on yoga techniques specifically beneficial for women’s health. The session included guided breathing exercises, stretching techniques, and simple yoga postures designed to support stress management, improve flexibility, and promote hormonal and physical balance.

Participants actively took part in the exercises, making the session highly interactive and lively. The instructor encouraged students to share their experiences and clarify doubts throughout the programme, creating an open and participatory learning environment. The combination of practical demonstrations, informative discussions, and interactive engagement made the workshop both educational and enjoyable.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Shifa, Assistant Professor, Department of English, who expressed gratitude to the resource person, organizers, and participants for making the event a success.

The session was well received by the students and effectively highlighted the importance of integrating yoga into daily life as a means of fostering holistic health, emotional balance, and overall well-being among women. Through this initiative, Noble Women’s College once again reaffirmed its commitment to empowering women through awareness, wellness, and meaningful educational programmes.
