The Department of Social Work at Noble Women's College was launched in 2025 with the vision of preparing socially responsible and professionally competent social workers capable of addressing the complex challenges of contemporary society. The department is committed to promoting academic excellence, social commitment, leadership, and community engagement through quality education and field-based learning.
The Master of Social Work (MSW) programme is designed to equip students with theoretical knowledge, practical skills, research competence, and professional ethics required for effective social work practice. The curriculum integrates classroom learning with fieldwork, internships, community outreach programmes, and research activities, enabling students to develop a deeper understanding of individuals, groups, and communities in diverse social contexts.
The programme offers specialized training in areas such as community development, counselling, mental health, family welfare, gender studies, human rights, social policy, and organizational management. Through continuous interaction with communities, NGOs, institutions, and social service organizations, students gain hands-on experience and professional exposure that strengthen their problem-solving and leadership abilities.
The department is guided by a team of dedicated faculty members and experienced professionals who foster an environment of empathy, critical thinking, social awareness, and academic inquiry. The department strives to cultivate socially conscious graduates who are committed to justice, equality, and sustainable development while contributing meaningfully to society at local, national, and global levels.
