Anti Ragging Awareness Program

The Anti-ragging cell of Noble Women's College, Manjeri conducted an awareness session for the second and third year UG students, today (13th September, 2022) at the College Auditorium. The session was handled by Mr Savad C (Senior Civil Police Officer, Manjeri Police Station). The session helped the students to be aware of the laws of the country with respect to ragging and how it affects the lives of people victimised by it. The session also highlighted the Honourable Supreme Court’s Guidelines to be followed by universities, colleges and other educational institutes to curb ragging and educated the students on the IPC provisions for registering FIRs.

The programme commenced with the welcome speech by Hajara (Convener, Anti -ragging cell and Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology). The session was inaugurated and presided over by Dr. U Saidalvi (Principal, NWC). His talk enlightened the
students the dehumanizing effects of ragging, the actions that can be taken against those indulging in ragging and also emphasized the need to maintain a healthy and cordial academic environment. Mr. Madhusoodanan (Assistant Professor, Department of Oriental Languages) offered the felicitation. The official inauguration was concluded with the vote of thanks by Jubla P (Student, Third year BSc Psychology).
