National Service Scheme (NSS)
Calicut University has sanctioned one NSS Unit (No: 170) to the College. Ms. Anupama S.R. is the Programme Officer. NSS aims at the Personality development of students through Community Service. The main activities of NSS are to involve and engage in Productive Social work and to enrich society through practical regular & special Programmes. Every student completing 240 hrs of Social activity and attending one special camp will be eligible for a certificate issued by University which gives a weightage mark of 5 for Higher Study.
The NSS unit No. 170 of our college has spearheaded a multitude of initiatives that reflect our commitment to community service. From health camps and cleanliness drives to educational outreach programs, our students have actively participated in projects that address various societal needs.
Health and Wellness Camps
Our NSS volunteers organized health camps in collaboration with local healthcare professionals, providing free medical check-ups, vaccinations, and health awareness programs to underserved communities.
Environmental Conservation Projects
Embracing our responsibility towards the environment, NSS initiatives included tree plantation drives, waste management campaigns, and awareness programs to promote sustainable living practices.
Educational Outreach
Recognizing the power of education, our NSS unit conducted tutoring sessions, workshops, and awareness programs to empower marginalized communities with knowledge and skills.
Community Development Initiatives
Engaging in holistic community development, our NSS volunteers actively participated in projects ranging from infrastructure improvement to supporting local artisans, contributing to the overall upliftment of the communities we serve.

The NSS activities have been instrumental in fostering a spirit of service among our students, shaping them into conscientious citizens.
