The PG Department of Commerce and Management Studies carried out an Awareness Program on Plastic carry bag pollution as part of the extension activity in connection with International Plastic Free Day 2022 on 6/6/2022. A group of 20 students accompanied by Ms. Dhanya, Ms. Adila Thasni, and Ms. Hanna Shabnam visited nearby villages in the Vettekode locality and distributed pamphlets regarding tips to reduce plastic carry bags while shopping, and interacted with the residents regarding the safe disposal of plastic carry bags. They also distributed around 50 cloth bags designed by our students to promote a plastic-free environment and lifestyle.
