INTERNATIONAL YOUTH DAY EKATA-FACE PAINTING COMPETITION

The PG Department Of Psychology successfully conducted “EKATA”- Face painting competition  based on the theme “Intergenerational Solidarity: Creating a World for All Ages” in connection with the International Youth Day on 12th August 2022 at 2nd BSc Psychology. The objective of International Youth Day 2022 is to amplify the message that action is needed across all generations to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and leave no one behind. It will also raise awareness on certain barriers to intergenerational solidarity, notably ageism, which impacts young and old persons, while having detrimental effects on society as a whole.

A total of 14 teams consisting of 2 members each from various departments actively participated for the same. The first prize was secured by Ansira & Nishma of 2nd BA English. Fareena & Safa from 2nd BSc Psychology bagged the second prize. The third prize was shared by Shibila & Afna, from 3rd BSc Psychology and Santiya & Amana from 2nd BSc Psychology.

The programme was very well organised by the faculties of the department, Fathima Shahana C, Maneesha, Shahba T and Naila P.
